Lasso Maintenance specializes in the delivery of abrasive blasting, industrial painting, fireproofing and related services to the oil sands industry. Founded in 1993, LASSO Maintenance has been assisting oil sands operators and other companies to maintain their facilities and equipment in this harsh region of northern Alberta. A member of the Alberta Building Trades, Lasso Maintenance has access to many of the most qualified tradesmen and technicians in Canada. This combination of skilled labour, specialized equipment and leading safety standards enables Lasso Maintenance to meet and exceed client requirements.

Lasso Maintenance operates under a philosophy that, “Everyone Arrives Home Safe Everyday.” The target is for zero incidents and zero recordables each and every day. Lasso Maintenance is a repeat winner of the President’s Safety Award from Syncrude Canada and has also been recognized as a winner in the Worksafe Alberta Program. Our employees are also required to complete a range of safety training courses as well as training to operate specialized equipment. Other training includes computer based training as well as required training from our clients, industry associations and legislative requirements.

FIREPROOFING AUDIT PROCESS

Lasso Maintenance has developed a unique fireproofing audit process to help our clients’ engineering departments to access fire hazard zones that reflect the most recent plant configuration processes. The fireproofing audit process includes a field audit phase to locate, identify and document facilities in order to prioritize deficiencies and rank functional life span of existing systems. The fireproofing audit process also generates a number of strategic benefits for our clients including a proactive planning tool to address deficient fire protection issues, identify high risk structural failures and an accurate estimate of maintenance costs for future fireproofing.
